What are the important parameters of the surge protection device?
The types of surge protectors produced by surge protection manufacturers are mainly divided into three types: voltage switch type, voltage limit type and composite type. The switching power surge protector is a surge protector that has a high impedance when there is no surge and can be transformed into a low impedance immediately when there is a surge. Parameter 1, the types of surge protector
The voltage-limiting surge protector has high impedance when there is no surge, but as the surge current and voltage increase, its impedance will continue to decrease. Its commonly used non-linear components are varistors and suppression diodes, also called "Clamping surge protector"
The composite type surge protector is composed of voltage switching type and voltage limiting type components. Its characteristics can be expressed as voltage switching type, voltage limitation or both according to the characteristics of the applied voltage.
Parameter 2, Nominal discharge current (In)

Parameter 3, impulse current (Iimp)
Determined by the current peak value Ipeak, the charge quantity Q and the specific energy W/R, it is the classification of the surge protector of the 10/350 wave type I experiment.
Parameter 4. Maximum discharge current(Imax)

Parameter 5, the maximum continuous working voltage(Uc)
The maximum continuous working voltage is the maximum effective value of AC voltage or DC voltage that is allowed to be permanently applied to the surge protector. Its value is equal to the rated voltage.

The voltage protection level is a performance parameter that characterizes the voltage between the terminals of the surge protector, and its value can be selected from a list of preferred values.
Parameter 7, residual pressure
Residual voltage refers to the peak voltage between the terminals of the surge protector when the discharge current flows through it.
Parameter 8, shell protection level
